Have you noticed the really ignorant conservatives think we do what we do ....

because we are 'butthurt' over losing (their word) the election. You see this over and over on Facebook and other social media and news forums.

I want to grab each and everyone and slap the crap outta them and tell them, "NO! We are doing what we are doing because YOU and your... your things you elected are OUT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY."

And SOOOOOOO many of them are older/retired. I tell them 'Just wait till your boys Ryan and Whatsis give you $20 off coupon for chemotherapy after they destroy Medicare and Medicaid.'

2. Because they see politics as a sport.

I think very few of them have a firm grasp on the actual issues (who knew they were so complicated?!) so it becomes more like a sports team thing to them. It's rural against urban, white against black, religious against secular. Conservative men are very ego-driven, so yes, they are projecting when they assume we care more about the "team" loss than the actual issues involved.

6. The phrase I saw again and again is we're "mad we didn't get our way."

I happily correct them and tell them that we're actually mad to learn that half of our voting population is stupid enough to endorse the racist rapist who barges in on naked children and who has failed at numerous marriages and businesses while maintaining questionably close ties to Russia.

9. I think we understand their motivations and prejudices pretty well, but ...

they are completely in the dark about us.

Rather than try to get inside our heads, they just convince themselves that we "hate America" or that we are all on government assistance and unwilling to work.

I've never really been able to understand how I can be a lazy "taker" looking for a handout from the government, while simultaneously being a latte sipping East Coast elitist who looks down my nose at the white working class.

But somehow, I've pulled it off.
