100% of Trump voters who cut their own stupid throats are convinced that they were only cutting mine

Another patient comes in: Carolyn Hodges, 68, who tells Keisha that she’s been feeling dizzy. Carolyn has Medicare, the public health insurance for the elderly. Medicare doesn’t cover all health-care costs, which is why Carolyn is as worried about the price of her medications as the fact that she’s been bumping into walls.

The last time she went to pick up her husband Roger’s insulin, Carolyn tells Keisha, the pharmacist said it would be more than $600, instead of the $100 or so they usually pay. That was when she learned Roger was in the Medicare prescription “donut hole,” which means that the cost of his medications had exceeded his limit for the year, and he would be forced to pay far more for prescriptions until the year ended and the tab started over. One initiative of the ACA has been to close that hole incrementally, but Carolyn, unaware of that, sees the bills piling up and thinks she knows who must be to blame.

“Thank you, Obama!” Carolyn says, throwing her arms in the air.

When you watch capital hill interviews there's always a long queue of Republicans eagerly repeating the dire message of the day... same coordinated theme, same phrases, lather, rinse, repeat. In a 30 second video clip they grab people's attention with an appeal to their emotions. That why Republicans always talk about immigrants is terms of the scary danger to their base, and healthcare is about lazy moochers taking their money.

Democrats love facts, but most viewers just zone out on numbers and that lets Republicans sell their idea of junk insurance as if its a wonderful new plan chock full of tasty freedoms. There's often not a single Democrat around to refute their claims and even the ones who do manage to get on camera are often unfocused and rambling and they go off message lamenting on the sad state of affairs they find themselves in.

Why isn't there a strong and unifying morning memo from the the DNC that is positive and inspiring with the top tier talking points and the keyword bullet points on the key issues of the day that promotes our message as the better solution?

6. Agreed. Democrats should use blunt and direct language that appeals to emotions.

Nice, diplomatic, nuanced doesn't work anymore. It's like bringing a butter knife to a gunfight.

And now, it's even more important with the use of data mining and social media platform.

Messages must be tailored to specific audiences and that message must reach its target.

9. And she didn't bother to learn anything about the ACA, to include how it impacted her.

But she blamed Obama anyway.

It doesn't matter how you frame your message when their willful ignorance prevents them listening.

it just because government tells you to do it." say Republicans.
Then when many people die of thirst we say Democrats should have had better messaging.
Marketing will not fix stupid.
