Why are Republicans dragging their feet on investigating the Russian connection in our elections?

It seems it would have taken the very top priority over all other issues? When a foreign government interferes with our elections, it is not something you put on the back burner to get to at a later time. It is urgent.

It is more important than tax cuts. It is more important than repealing "Obamacare". It is more important than politics.

Yet, the Republicans act as if it is nothing to be concerned about? They will get to it eventually. Well, eventually may be too late? They need to get off the dime and find out what happened.

Party over patriotism.

They also see this as aN opportunity to kill big government. Everything except those things that control civil liberties.

The longer they drag this out the more they get almost for free. When Trump is gone they can blame it on the rotten bastard that Republicans (themselves) kicked out.

their only interest in "investigations" is to politically smear someone. so they were intensely interested in investigating hillary but they have zero interest in investigating russia and certainly none in investigating republicans.

until they find a democrat was involved. then they will rain holy hell on that person.

If it is found to be true that Russians meddled in the election with the approval of Trump and his minions, the GOP is going to look pretty bad . . . not that they don't already. They're treading water in hopes of saving their $174,000 a year jobs in 2018. Party over country. Self over country.
