I watched the impeachment of Clinton will horror. All of that time and effort over lying about sex..When it was all said and done, and the Senate voted on the matter, it lost. It didn't even get a majority of the vote in the Senate.....No..they didn't get Clinton, but they killed a lot of time.....
If 3 Senate Republicans vote against Trumpcare, because it will kill thousands and will remove insurance from millions, then they, the Republicans have done it again...All that effort, just to kill time. The nation's time and focus that could have been used for something else.. Yes, we will be lucky to see this sh*t be defeated, and lives will be saved, and insurance for millions saved.. but what a waste of time. Ryan and his ilk, couldn't care less....They can say they.."tried"..and those Republicans who stood against this awful plan will be demonized by their leaders forever..(but not by the rest of the country, they will be "her os" ...But to focus this nation on a useless plan to help the rich and glorify Republican ideals, is not just a waste of time, but attempted murder..Ok, if it doesn't go through, that is a relief...but...
What a waste of time,,,oh...call it what it is, ............attempted murder..!!!!...

(16,423 posts)The impeachment hearings against Bill Clinton cost the Democrats valuable time and attention.
All that empty republican buzz about an Obamacare replacement cost the Democrats time and attention.
But now they are running down their own clock: They are in charge, they are responsible for policy-making. If they want to gin up some outrage that brings the political process to a halt, that only damages them.
Just look at Trump's first month: outrage, scandal, in-fighting, blame-shifting, pivoting, followed by more pivoting, followed by more pivoting, followed by the GOP wasting precious time by pushing a plan that is political suicide... And in the meantime, nothing gets done.

Not 1, nor 2, or 3 or 4 ------------ but 50
a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
