Intel panel calls for wiretap evidence by Monday

Intel panel calls for wiretap evidence by Monday
By Mallory Shelbourne - 03/11/17 08:37 PM EST

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and ranking member Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) have asked the White House to offer by Monday any evidence showing Trump Tower was wiretapped.

A congressional aide confirmed to The Hill that Schiff and Nunes made the request in a letter to the White House. The letter was first reported by The Associated Press.

Trump has kept his distance from the press since last weekend, when he accused former President Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower before the November election.

misdemeanor? It damn sure should be. Especially if it's against a citizen of the US and even more so against a former President.

4. I've Heard This IS An Impeachable Offense

I don't remember who said it, and I never got an explanation as to why, but I do know someone who sounded like they knew something about it said it COULD be considered an impeachable offense. I don't know what conditions need to be met, but I do know of one condition that DOESN'T exist: a Congress with the will and the spine to actually impeach the most corrupt, inept, bumbling President in HISTORY. Party over country, all day long, seems to be their motto. And with no way to hold their feet to the fire until 2018, they'll continue to turn a blind eye to every unforgivable offense this A-hole commits between now and then until this country is nothing more than a smoldering pile of ashes around their feet. Now, once they see the poll results for the 2018 mid-terms, and see themselves going down with the ship, then and only then will they MAYBE act. So we have to tread water until those 2018 elections start to get close enough to be real for them.

...lie all the time, throughout history---don't they?

Seems hard to imagine it's impeachable.

Seems there are mostly only political consequences. But as you say, not until 2018. Too late to avoid many catastrophes.

............that rather than just your average, garden-variety lie, this is actually accusing a former President of a crime. It seemed like a gray area to me too, but this person said it had something to do with the fact that since the President is immune from slander/libel laws, it makes a President's slander/libel an impeachable offense. I may have it wrong. I didn't pay a lot of attention because, as I said, impeachable offenses need to be acted upon by a Congress that looks out for the American people, and we don't have one of those.
