Velshi had Jordan on to talk about health care. Jordan is talking a mile a minute in wacky gish gallop. Then he goes into the LIE that people from other countries come to US for medical care. Velshi says where are the people from Sweden and Norway and Canada and (other countries). Jordan Says "people from Canada come here all the time" to which Velshi tells him how he (Velshi) is a Canadian, grew up in Canada, Canada is his home, and he knows NO ONE who ever came to the US for health care. He then challenges Jordan to cite some facts or statistics, to which Jordan goes "Yeah, but . . . . and . . . . oh yeah? . . . . . says who?" He sounded like a 10 year old.

It was VERY funny. Some much needed levity in a the middle of this shitstorm that is the GOPee-controlled American government.

(764 posts)Didn't like his aggressive pro-business attitude I saw in Ali when he started MSNBC but he spoke truth to power this morning when I heard and I am paraphrasing "name me 1 country where private healthcare is working" and that took the breath from Jordan necause there isn't one.
I want some more of Ali

Has nothing to do with the insanity of continuing to allow a for profit motive to exist between the patient and death.
