Wolf Blitzer had a young lady on his show who was a former Attorney for NSA.

And she had one of the most detailed explanations I have heard yet about the FISA warrant process, etc. She thought we needed to know if there was a FISA warrant for Trump Tower?

Because, if there is a record or receipt of a FISA warrant, that means that a panel of judges had decided there was enough evidence to issue the warrant. That would be damning for the Trump campaign.

They would try to say that the judges are not impartial and that it is all a big sham.

But, if there is a record of a FISA warrant, that is all we need, to show that the judges thought they had enough evidence to investigate.

That would put a huge cloud over the Trump White House.

Either he WAS tapped, in which case it would have to have been done pursuant to a FISA warrant. In turn that warrant would have to have been approved by a FISA Court, where a judge was persuaded that there was probable cause to suspect a crime was being committed. He was/is under investigation;

Or, there was no warrant. Everyone in the know seems to be on record that there was no warrant. That's because there was no wire tapping, in which case Trumplestilstkin just told the biggest (so far) whopper of his short, miserable presidential career.

One way they could do it is to get the FISA warrant for a foreign entity they thought or knew was in regular communication with Trumpistas. On goes the recorder. "Ring ... Ring ... click ... "Good afternoon, Trump Tower." "Good afternoon, this is Aras Agaralov. May I speak to Donald please? He is expecting my call."

No tap on the Trump anything, but a tap on the Russian office of Aras Agaralov. Done deal, with complete deniability.

It would be interesting to hear the response to this question: "Were there wiretaps placed on any Russian or Ukrainian nationals during the presidential campaign, on which Donald Trump or any of his campaign advisors have been recorded?"

I'd bet $$$ to Krispy Kremes the answer would be a Glomar.

I would hope they were tracking the Russians after finding out about their efforts to sabotage our elections.
