I almost choked from laughing when I read that. You made my day.

It's going to be a long 4 years. Our only hope is to continue to do things that make him angry with the hopes that he'll eventually have a heart attack, or a stroke. At age 70, it's our only hope. Justice Dept investigations could last for years and I'll probably have a stroke first from the anxiety of knowing that every day I wake up and that man's still in the White House.

Paid a fee, waited a while, had several interviews and was vetted to speed through border control in a number of countries including US, Mexico, and Canada. My particular credentials were managed by Canada. If you fly into JFK and see 400 people waiting to clear customs, and then notice a short line of about 20 people moving quickly through, that was my line.

Privileges !

Two way street, as you can lose them for trivial reasons.

Was driving into Canada and forgot an apple laying in the back seat. Was not even my apple. You have to declare all plants and food. Border control immediately rescinded my credentials.

Can reapply after 6 months. Application takes about a year. No guarantee that I will ever be "trusted" again.

What US government agency makes a courtesy call to say your "travel privileges" (whatever the fuck that means) are "under review"?

There is nothing whatsoever in this story that identifies any action by any agency of the US government.

Raw Story may be "reliably reporting" what they were told, but it is absolutely clear that no real reporter has written this story, since there is zero information about what, specifically, the claim is.

Since being a US citizen for many decades doesn't matter anymore. If the powers that be want to punish you, you will be punished.

But they also detained Sidd Bikkanaver, the NASA scientist who was born in the USA to a white mother. Being half white wasn't enough for Obama either. It matters how one looks.

KHIZR KHAN EVENT CANCELLATION

Late Sunday evening Khizr Khan, an American citizen for over 30 years, was notified that his travel privileges are being reviewed. As a consequence, Mr. Khan will not be traveling to Toronto on March 7th to speak about tolerance, understanding, unity and the rule of law. Very regretfully, Ramsay Talks must cancel its luncheon with Mr. Khan. Guests will be given full refunds.
Mr. Khan offered his sincere apologies to all those who made plans to attend on March 7th. He said: "This turn of events is not just of deep concern to me but to all my fellow Americans who cherish our freedom to travel abroad. I have not been given any reason as to why. I am grateful for your support and look forward to visiting Toronto in the near future.

Fit me for a tin foil hat if you like, but it seems like Trump/Bannon WANTS a terrorist act on US soil, another 9/11, so he'll get support for increased military spending and taking away our civil rights. Don't forget, the Patriot Act was written BEFORE 9/11. They just needed a trigger.
