James Comey would not create a scene with the White House unless he was holding a very good hand. That is why Trump made the assertion that he had his "wires tapped" by Barack Obama. He knew better. He was directing his comments at James Comey. And Comey responded.

Comey then requested that the Justice Department, of Jeff Sessions, clarify the situation and admit that the President was wrong and reject his assertions? So far, nothing from the Justice Department?

Also, the admission by Clapper, Comey, and others that Trump Tower and the Trump campaign were not "wire-tapped" does not mean that the Trump Organization and their numerous overseas connections, including Russia, were not. Most likely, nobody in intelligence thought Trump would win the election? The campaign is not the only option for investigation.

The next few days could be very telling. Josh Marshall is reporting that the WH, through a spokesperson, thinks Comey may be lying about his disclaimers. The battle continues today.

...I speculated that Comey and Pence are in on it. Hence why Comey violated the Hatch Act to cause Clinton to lose. Comey and Pence are establishment types and this could very well be a "coup" of sorts to one, get the Presidency and two, regain control of the Party they lost control of.

I also suspect Pence his behind all the leaks as he's been very quiet and has his own staff not beholden to Trump and his trolls.

Comey is unreliable after what he did to Clinton. He owns this mess for helping Trump win. And Republicans in Congress are still trying to cover things up. When are we going to get them implicated in Russian collusion?

That does not mean that some of our allies (and enemies) were/are not intercepting those calls. We do share information with allies.
