WH couldn't keep their mouths shut on phony wiretapping charge as promised.

...now they say Trump doesn't believe Comey's denials.

A White House spokeswoman on Monday said she doesn't think President Trump accepts the FBI Director James Comey's denial of the president's claims that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower before the election.

"No, I don't think he does," Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America."

She said the president "wants the truth to come out to the American people and he is asking that it be done through the House Intelligence Committee and that that be the process that we go through."

“If Mr. Comey has something he’d like to say I’m sure we’re all willing to hear it,” Kellyanne Conway said on Fox News. “All I saw was a published news report. I didn’t see a statement from him. I don’t know what Mr. Comey knows.

“If he knows, of course he can issue a statement,” Conway said. “We know he’s not shy.”

...these are functionally immature people playing games with our democracy. They should not be anywhere near the levers of governmental power.

All you have to do is order the declassification of the docs. and release your tax returns. BOOM... problem solved?

that something did happen and not on the person who says it didn't happen. But you're a lawyer, so I'm sure you know that.

Very specific as to who should be doing this investigation. Is the fix in at the House Intelligence Committee?

morning show...claimed Clapper's denial of a wire tap is questionable because Clapper's word is in doubt just in general. Said the House, specifically Nunes, will do its diligence to see if there is anything to 45's claims.

When asked if the House will, as well, investigate the claims of Russian influence, Chaffetz quite plainly replied..."I really don't think there's anything there to investigate, nothing credible to warrant an investigation."

The hypocrisy is stunning.

They will hunt for the slightest thread, the barest typo in a staffer's staffer email and spin a new Watergate. The will fund raise like crazy off of 45's deranged ramblings.

I'm beginning to give up on us.

...but you shouldn't be dismayed this early in the game.

I'd take heart in the amount of effort out here looking for any wedge to upend Trump, and he's been amazingly obliging in his statements and behavior.

Consider that we're looking at over 60% approval today for an outside investigation. That's leaps away from where we began, and this presidency is still in it's infancy, due almost entirely to the unprecedented and expanding resistance.

Let's see if Comey is alienated enough by Trump's continuation of this lie, and see if he's going to be more compelled to bring the hammer down, more forthcoming with evidence than he has been so far, and put Trump on his heels.

Comey must know he's either Trump's maiden, or his nemesis. There's no in-between for this man who doesn't have a wit or care about any rule of law that contradicts him.
