This wasn't a planned attempt to divert attention away from the Russian investigations

Trump routinely tweets out his ass for no rhyme or reason.

Trump's staff, it's been reported, was totally caught off guard by the accusations Trump made.

The white house legal staff was telling everyone in the white house not to talk about Trump being wire tapped.

It's also been reported that Trump got his info, not from any actual intelligence or official reports but from the media. Breitbart News Network possibly?

Press Secretary Spicer said that the president wants Congress to investigate the charges he made against Obama and also said the white house will no longer discuss the issue until such time Congress completes said investigations. In my view, that means that the press is not to ask why Trump tweeted stupid, baseless shit. Questions that could cause many in the public to think that Trump isn't fit to serve as president.
