So I went to a half-priced book store for the first time in several years today.

I met family for lunch in closest big city to me, first time in a long time. They wanted to go to the half-price book store afterward, so I tagged along. It was the first time in several years I had stepped into one.

Naturally, I gravitated toward certain subjects- The Civil War had it's own section, History, Politics etc. Let's just say I was not surprised to find that Glenn Beck, for example, had a lot of books on the shelf. As in, a lot of each of his books. Apparently no one is buying them? You don't say.

Oh, and they had a lot of law books there, too. I wish I knew which ones might be worth having, because I might have bought a few. I actually did pick out a couple of titles from the Civil War section, and a few others. Spent $45 in all.

But seriously, I LMAO at all those Beck books. His was the only name I think that was that way. Al Franken's only had two on the shelf.

No doubt Beck's books will be in the "books by the foot" section soon TexasBushwhacker Mar 2017 #1
If the books there in that section were still 50 cents to a dollar, like they were the last time joet67 Mar 2017 #2
They probably still have them by the foot or pound boxed up TexasBushwhacker Mar 2017 #3

for folks who have too many empty bookshelves and will fill them with anything. His will be right next to "Fifty Shades of Grey".

I was there, I might have bought them up to use as firestarter. Sadly, those books were $3 and up now, for everything.

But you have to ask for them, and you don't get to choose titles. The local library usually has books for $1 or less.
