Rand Paul, Romney, Boehner, Paul Ryan, Faux News, Rush, Palin, and tea partiers think that disaster has struck. Their heads are doing 360 degree turns.
If you find yourself agreeing with the second group above, don't you think you ought to examine why that is, that you are in agreement with the tea party position?
NOTE re "mini-Gods" term:
I meant that these are people that I and others NORMALLY exalt, quote, & swear by their opinions...now, all of a sudden, there is an almost total ignoring of their comments on the ACA and the S.Ct. decision. As well as an almost total ignoring of the tea partiers who are saying pretty much the same things that some here are saying today. I didn't mean "mini-Gods" as sarcasm; I include myself as one who looks to these and other key people to see what they think on subjects. They're smart, informed, and I know whose interests they have in mind.

(37,648 posts)I really meant "mini-Gods," which they sort of are to me and others. I pay attention to what they have to say.

That was easy.

(1,330 posts)than about the 50 million people who don't have health insurance because of low income or pre-existing conditions. Health insurance profits make up about half of one percent of healthcare costs every year, and there's no reason that percentage will change significantly. 50,000 people die every year because they don't have health insurance. After 2014, there will be no reason for that to happen to anyone again. You might need to re-evaluate your priorities.

(163,986 posts)Or folks like me that are priced out of buying insurance and have seen what Medicaid clinics look like?
Or folks like me that have watched MA premiums go up every year?
Tell you what, if I make it to 2014 and I'm wrong, I'll admit it. How's that?

(20,634 posts)because Democrats chose to prop up health insurers and promote "market friendly" solutions favored by the rentier class rather than choosing to solve the actual problems in our health care system.
Those are the facts.

(15,682 posts)that is being forced to write refund checks because of Obamacare? (Not to mention, before the full benefits are even in place.)
EFerrari
(163,986 posts)And has nothing to do with people still going broke because they can't afford to use the insurance policy they buy. There's a lot of people like that. Can't afford the deductible, can't afford the co-pay -- how far will that refund check stretch, do you think?
And that's not even looking ahead to premiums going up.
That better be one big fat refund.

I hope you're not one of those people.
I'm sorry you're so miserable about it's constitutionality.
EFerrari
(163,986 posts)You don't have to look all the way to the constitution to figure out why this is a good win politically and a raw deal for people who need health care.

(37,573 posts)but Pelosi, Obama, and yes, even Krugman, have certainly come in for their share of lumps here on DU. Way back in 2007, Pelosi seemed to be the favorite punching bag on DU. She could not do anything right, according to DU. I wrote this post to complain http://journals.democraticunderground.com/hfojvt/51. Then after 2009, when Obama was nominating a bunch of DLCers to his cabinet, and having Rick Warren give a prayer, and not doing anything about DADT, then he was a favorite punching bag of DU. Something I thought was counter-productive before the 2010 elections, and I wrote posts like this to protest http://journals.democraticunderground.com/hfojvt/127
Krugman too, when he was promoting Hillary during the "primary wars" was not a big favorite among the "Obamabots".
So it is not like much of DU walks in lockstep with those "mini gods".
