Note that this ridiculous question doesnt dispute that Trump ate a live baby.
The same applies to Trumps tweet regarding Obama tapping the Trump campaign phones.
Most people wont ask whether or not Obama did so. Theyll ask, When did this happen?
Its the Big Lie theory all over again. Its immense. And you dont have to prove it. You just have to say it.
So take one moment, stop, think, and ask yourself this: Does Donald Trump lie?
Do you really need to think about the answer for very long?
In the beliefs of the Trump fanatics, Obama is now a Phone-tapper.
In the real world, this is just Trumps latest outrageous lie. But on a scale so large and so outrageous, that it just might be enough to distract the American people from the real issue: The incompetence and perhaps even criminal acts of Trump and the people who now control all the levers of power in America.

I think this, if it lives as a news story until after the weekend, is a tipping point in the public's consideration of his competence. This is flat out batshit crazy.

Oh, the Yuuuuge Manatee!!!
Seriously, if you hear that shit on the television MEDIA or read it in a paper, fire off a quick retort to them via your social media of choice (or email if you're old school) and tell them where they've gone wrong--a good start is "Do not NORMALIZE this cretin!"
They're sensitive to that "normalize" term, but we cannot, as a group of citizens, let up on them. And you can also respond, if you'd like, to the Trumphumpers with a little In-Yer-Face truth, too, if you have the stomach!
If anyone was tapping their phones, it was the INTELLIGENCE SERVICES, and they do that when TRAITORS converse with RUSSIAN SPIES - so obviously, the Trump CAMPAIGN was full of TRAITORS and RUSSIAN SPIES. Thank heavens for our loyal patriots in the Intelligence Services, keeping us safe from those who will do America harm!
It's like shooting really stupid fish in a barrel....

From January:
"The Guardian has learned that the FBI applied for a warrant from the foreign intelligence surveillance (Fisa) court over the summer in order to monitor four members of the Trump team suspected of irregular contacts with Russian officials. The Fisa court turned down the application asking FBI counter-intelligence investigators to narrow its focus. According to one report, the FBI was finally granted a warrant in October, but that has not been confirmed, and it is not clear whether any warrant led to a full investigation."

(15,041 posts)relevant to any warrant and/or investigation into the Trump team's "suspected contacts with Russian officials?"
The (perhaps demented) fool in the Oval Office has failed to grasp the door he's kicked open with his tweet. He just doesn't understand that an "investigation into his campaign being wiretapped," if true, could result in charges of treason being brought against his closest cronies, if not he himself?
It was a massive error. If a warrant was issued it was for a reason. What is that reason? Reporters should demand to see the warrant. And he should be happy to get it out there as an example of Obama's abuse.

(15,041 posts)As long as Republicans control the entire government, Trump's "mistakes," idiocies, and perhaps even treason, and/or other major crimes and misdemeanors committed by him, his family, his appointees, or anyone else remotely tied to him, will be buried, and go unprosecuted.
It will be up to historians to document, to whatever extent possible, the crimes committed in this era.
This of course assumes that we survive this era. That nuclear threat (Trump having the codes) can never be far from the thoughts of any rational person.
