(8,445 posts)It was sort of uncomfortable for me to watch the segment with Jeffrey Lord. He was clearly uncomfortable in that setting, but then Bill Maher can be pretty dominating. It was a great show, though. The panel was great.
Edit: What I mean about Lord is that he so clearly was out of his element, and I get the feeling that he KNOWS that things are very bad for 45, no matter what words came out of his mouth.

(169 posts)It's always been frustrating to see liberals time and time again fall for the Conservative fake outrage when one of their own gets caught in a sex related scandal. The Democratic turns their back on these guys and banishes them to the political wilderness and yet when it happens to a Republican, they get a slap on the wrist as long as they acknowledge God and that the Lord has forgiven him.
I don't like what Weiner, Spitzer and Edwards did and if they broke any laws they should be punished. Having said that, I think we can all agree the party is not exactly in a great place right now. We can't afford to keep discarding "damaged goods" candidates because we're afraid of what conservatives or independents will think. The strange irony in all this, is that the election of Trump has kind of negated the "morality card" tactic from the right-wingers so if there's any time for political redemption for these guys, it's probably now.
