The vast majority of people on medicaid are elderly seniors living in facilitated living homes. nursing homes, and last care hospices. All paid with medicaid, because medicare doesn't cover it. Republicans want to fund medicaid as block grants to the states. And each year, they will vote less and less funding for these block grants, until medicare just disappears for lack of funding. Guess what they want to fund instead of medicaid? If you said "tax cuts for the rich" or "tax cuts on investment income," then bingo, you're right!

Selling insurance across state lines enables insurance companies to incorporate in states with the fewest and wimpiest insurance regulations with the least enforcement of insurance fraud and most ability to sell mostly worthless junk policies. Your state insurance commissioner and his enforcement authority will be effective crippled.

The GOP wants nothing more than the rich to get richer. And the thing is we all get outraged whenever there's a Turing or Epipen scandal happening in the news. But you know what? By the time the story breaks, these crooks have already taken you to the cleaners, and they're laughing all the way to the bank. I'm sure the GOP plan would normalize and legalize what Shkreli is doing and would make it easier for these criminal hedge fund managers to buy up drugs and charge 7,000%+ for them. Shkreli was just the beginning, I'm sure things will get worse.
