Because there has to be some understanding of what happened in the last election, some confidence that there wasn't any inappropriate contact with Russia. I think the White House should, and perhaps will, welcome an investigation that makes this into the open. The suspicion people have, though, is why don't they want an investigation, because there's more there that they don't want to come out."

4. ABC GMA was hard-hitting all over this Sessions lying, Trump WH denials of Russian campaign contacts

All of the analysts and reporters were adamant that Sessions must recuse himself.

Jonathan Karl said that ever since he asked Trump point-blank about his allegation of absolutely no Russian contacts, Trump personally has not made another blanket assertion about no contacts, signaling to Karl that undeniably were contacts (as reported in NY Times article)

6. I was very surprised how seriously ABC dealt with the Sessions revelations

and how they used several different commentators/reporters to put it in the context of all the denials by WH, the Flynn matter and the NY Times article about the contacts. (The only glossing over was done by Cecilia Vega's brief parroting of WH talking points, reminiscent of how she was always the one on ABC parroting the right wing Hillary email talking points)
