their plan

many of us like to think of Trump and his minions as extremely dumb, or at least short-sighted, when it comes to governance. i generally prefer that approach as well: "do not attribute to malice that which can adequately be explained by stupidity." however, since November, and with the Putin ties becoming apparent, it's clear to me that stupidity alone is no longer enough to account for what we see unfolding before us. Mr. Trump and/or his handlers, Russian or otherwise, is/are playing this out nice and slow.

this smells planned, reeks of reality tv, a field Mr. Trump knows quite well. all planned, all fake, all the time, but make it look like improv to fool the rubes.

think about it.

first few weeks? appearance of chaos and complete ineptitude, zero credibility. slipping in polls. leaks left and right. late night nonsense tweets. foreign policy of a toddler. instances of unreasonable and unethical behavior by ICE. bungled military operation in Yemen. complete disaster, laughing stock of the world. media beginning to lambaste him mercilessly, even Fox beginning to turn on him. but look at what happened in the meantime: damn near all his repulsive cabinet got in with minimal scrutiny and publicity, with Trump running interference.

now he gives a teleprompter speech where his main virtue is not going off script. media acts like it's the greatest thing since Reagan because he's already set expectations so amazingly low. expect his approval ratings to begin rising next week, as the fourth estate bends to the will of its very few, very wealthy owners.

i expect the Trump administration to gradually become more competent in implementing their evil/stupid policies with complete buy-in from the GOP congress. meanwhile Democrats and liberals across the nation are going to discover that outrage is a very difficult thing to sustain, even for one year let alone two. 2018 is must-win for the GOP, because any oppositional investigations of Trump would reveal corruption on a scale unthinkable 20 years ago. by November 2018, Trump needs to be popular enough to campaign for Republicans. easiest way to do it is to start a war after a terrorist attack. that is their plan.

if it works, he'll be in for 8 years, more than long enough to destroy every institution in this country that displeases him and/or Vlad, and definitely long enough to loot the treasury on behalf of the ultra-wealthy GOP constituency. this is not a short game, although we must act quickly, just remember

1. If he stays for eight years then we most likely will have him permanently.

I do think they are actually thinking how to take all of our freedoms away and create a dictatorship. They are already getting away with changing freedom laws in some states and they will continue. The blue states will be "dealt" with in due time. When he has most of the states on his side then they can occupy blue states and finish his take over. In some sense blue states are like a different country to be conquered. He has a good teacher for learning how to control and keep the people afraid and in many was incapable of fighting back. Hitler failed because a lot of countries banned together to help stop him but Trump has done well at pushing those allies away. I have a feeling no one is going to come in and try to save us like many counties including us did for Germany.

after 8 years of this, if he's still lying along, he might want to do something different
like take 2 strokes off his golf game
things that are hard to focus on while you're busy exterminating the free world
