I think it would be a good thing for the Dems to start talking about single payer

Not Obama. He needs to stay above that right now.

But I'd love to see some of the back benchers and real liberals talking about single payer. They might even frame it as a way to let the mandate wither and die. Whatever. Just get the notion on the national front burner.

I'm still glad it was upheld, but without single payer, there's not really a good alternative.

It would just tie his name to something that helps more people than the Republicans have helped in the last 50 years (if there are any).
