Media Statements Concerning ACA

"The idea has been around for decades — it was originally a conservative Republican idea as an alternative to national health insurance"
NY Times April 2012

"The ringing irony about this week’s U.S. Supreme Court challenge to the Affordable Care Act is that the law’s core principles were all, originally, conservative."
Pennlive March 2012

"The members of the Republican Party did not just decide individually that the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act was unconstitutional. As many people have noted, the mandate was originally a Republican idea! Many Republicans once (and probably still do) thought it was a smart policy and one of the only ways to get freeloaders to contribute to a health care system"
Treehugger June 2012

"But President Barack Obama pointed out on “60 Minutes” Sunday night that the law is very similar to Republican Gov. Mitt Romney’s health reform law in Massachusetts. And it turns out the law reflects many other ideas that enjoyed Republican support in the past."
Center for American Progress Nov 2010.

I personally support the single payer but am personally conflicted by the ACA (at least it is something).
Fact is this is a path republicans supported as recently as 2007.
Where is the EPIC FAIL in pointing out actual facts?
