Good one, Nancy (who's wearing the same purple pumps today that she wore when Obamacare passed)
Pelosi: What a great victory!
Congressman George Miller: You bet your ass [it is].
Pelosi: I did.

In many ways....
This is not Obama care
Or Roberts care.
It's Pelosi care. This historic achievement would not have come close to happening without her.

George Miller worked as hard with Nancy Pelosi as any other member of Congress to get it through the halls. In my estimation many folks worked on it not just the speaker as the time.
So can we blame her for not having medicare for all?

(32,017 posts)13. Yes, she did.
She took heat from many of us who were appalled by the arm-twisting she did of the Progressive Caucus to compel their loyalty to a plan they opposed.
Ultimately, given the SCOTUS ruling, it appears that things worked out for the best and that she was right. She was a good soldier for the President, and she got the job done. Time will tell whether her tactics were justified, but, at this point, I am quite optimistic.
