President Donald Trump's approval rating has dropped to 38 percent, according to a new national poll.
The Quinnipiac University survey shows 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump's job performance compared to 55 percent who said they disapprove. The 17-point difference between the approval and disapproval ratings are the worst in similar polls since he took office on Jan. 20, Quinnipiac said.
A Feb. 7 Quinnipiac poll showed Trump with 42 percent approval vs. 51 percent disapproval.
"President Donald Trump's popularity is sinking like a rock," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. "He gets slammed on honesty, empathy, level headedness and the ability to unite. And two of his strong points, leadership and intelligence, are sinking to new lows. This is a terrible survey one month in."

(19,240 posts)Twenty-five percent loved Cheney even as late as 2007. That's the 25% of Americans who are total jackasses---you know, Trump's "base."
