http://www.rawstory.com/2017/02/she-brings-shame-upon-the-legal-profession-law-professors-file-misconduct-complaint-against-kellyanne-conway/
According to the complaint, Conway, a graduate of George Washington University Law School, violated government ethics rules when she made the false statement that President Barack Obama had banned Iraqi refugees from coming into the United States for six months following the Bowling Green Massacre.
Conway became a member of Washington D.C Bar in 1995, but she is currently suspended for failing to pay her dues. The letter was sent to D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel Wallace Shipp Jr., who told the Washington Post his office receives around 1,500 complaints per year. Its unclear whether Shipp will investigate the groups claims.
We do not file this complaint lightly, the complaint reads. We believe that, at one time, Ms. Conway, understood her ethical responsibilities as a lawyer and abided by them. But she is currently acting in a way that brings shame upon the legal profession.
The complaint also cited Conways peddling of Ivanka Trumps product during a Feb. 9 interview on Fox and Friends, noting, Federal rules on conflicts of interest specifically prohibit using public office for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity.

(5,730 posts)good people. Hillary. Morris Dees. I could fill up pages of great people.
Yet, I'm well familiar with the back stabbing, lying, etc. It's not just lawyers though. I've represented many doctors and I was amazed at how they tried to tear each others guts out. Most professions.
A Brit friend told me to watch , "The Making of a Murderer. " He was going on and on about how police lie, the lawyers.... I tried twice to get onto it. Finally, I told my partner, who didn't much like it either, I know why I don't like it, it's just like all the stressful stuff and situations I deal with at work.

(2,191 posts)It looks like DC dues are $293 for active members, $163 for inactive and $142 for judicial members. Not as expensive as some (in CA, where I am, they go up to $372) but more expensive than others.

(743 posts)Apparently she has the degree but, damn, she would be an absolutely horrible lawyer. Supporting your arguments with complete BS that is easily disproved doesn't really work all that well in the courts.
OK, now I'm curious. I had to google it. According to wiki, she worked as a judicial clerk for a year or two (?, the wiki entry doesn't really say) and then worked for a couple of Repub polling firms before starting her own. She also worked for some politicians and sucked at that also. (OK. I added that last bit but hey, it's true. She truly sucks at what she's doing.)

(5,730 posts)I always hoped someone in DC would file a complaint against Scalia for some of his very clear ethical violations.
She is indeed a piece of work and has done a lot of uethical things. The only thing that bugs me about it is there is this whole pod of creepy, unethical malicious people. Yet, it is the woman who is culled out first...like Martha Stewart.

(2,577 posts)Maybe not. Her actions and words don't exactly demonstrate someone who "gets" the basics of what's legal and what isn't.
