http://www.mediaite.com/online/breaking-alan-colmes-dead-at-66/Just heard it on Stephanie Miller. So sad.
I remember listening to him on some little local radio station in the early 1990s. He had a song about Bill Clinton is the greatest president--- Does anyone remember that?
I also remember his announcing when Oksana Baiul won the gold medal at the Olympics, beating out Nancy Kerrigan.

(24,329 posts)Sorry to hear it. 66 is not that old. My understanding is that he was a really warm and generous person.

(129,017 posts)I remember when I first listened to him when he was on WABC in the '80s before the station went to hell with Limpballs. Then I remember when he was paired with the newly unleashed Hannity (in the era of "Curtis and Kuby", "Batchelor and Alexander", etc - a Liberal & a Conservative sharing a show).

I wouldn't think the poisonous atmosphere at Fox would be good for anyone's health.

(6,228 posts)I listened to him every night on WCPT as I was laying in bed. He'd been off a while and they had guest hosts. His web site had a message that he was taking care of an illness. Does anyone know what he died from? He will really be missed.
