Breaking: Alan Colmes has died!

http://www.mediaite.com/online/breaking-alan-colmes-dead-at-66/

Just heard it on Stephanie Miller. So sad.

I remember listening to him on some little local radio station in the early 1990s. He had a song about Bill Clinton is the greatest president--- Does anyone remember that?

I also remember his announcing when Oksana Baiul won the gold medal at the Olympics, beating out Nancy Kerrigan.

Sorry to hear it. 66 is not that old. My understanding is that he was a really warm and generous person.

I remember when I first listened to him when he was on WABC in the '80s before the station went to hell with Limpballs. Then I remember when he was paired with the newly unleashed Hannity (in the era of "Curtis and Kuby", "Batchelor and Alexander", etc - a Liberal & a Conservative sharing a show).

One organization I work for has a staffer whose job includes setting up a week's worth of tweets and social media posts at a time, featuring announcements and news releases, etc.

Also a lot of Twitter and FB posts aren't actually done by the celebrity but by an employee or volunteer.

He did his time in hell here on earth, being in close proximity to Hannity.

Very sad.

I wouldn't think the poisonous atmosphere at Fox would be good for anyone's health.

I listened to him every night on WCPT as I was laying in bed. He'd been off a while and they had guest hosts. His web site had a message that he was taking care of an illness. Does anyone know what he died from? He will really be missed.

and he kept losing an argument with the right wingers, and I got the impression he was there as red meat bait, for them to jump on and devour.

on the radio. Wouldn't watch him on Hannity and Colmes though. Just couldn't stomach Hannity.

RIP Alan, thanks for being a rational voice.
