HuffPo: The Movement Resisting Donald Trump Has A Name: The (Local) Democratic Party

While outside groups are getting the attention, local Democratic parties nationwide are seeing a surge of interest.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about here.

All across the country, party meetings that had once been sleepy affairs, dominated by Robert’s Rules of Order and a handful of graying activists, have become standing room only. The overflowing crowds have sent stunned party regulars scrambling to find new venues, while the surge in interest, and the coinciding fundraising boost, is enabling local chapters to hire staff and build infrastructure in previously unthinkable ways. On the national level, Democratic politicians have been rushing to respond to the sudden outpouring.

But the "money quote" for me came a little further on:

The resistance to President Donald Trump has taken a variety of forms, all of them well chronicled by the media. The Women’s March, which saw some 5 million people take to the streets in a single day, helped fuel the growth of Indivisible chapters around the country, and has itself continued organizing meetings and protests since. The groups Swing Left, Flippable and Sister Sister are routing people to swing districts in an effort to flip the House, and groups are forming to challenge Democrats in primaries. Amid it all, observers and participants alike have wondered what the name is for this nascent movement. The Resistance? The Opposition?

But if the swelling ranks of county-level meetings are an indication of things to come, the grassroots movement underway already has a name. It’s called the Democratic Party.

The dragon is officially awake.

Just ask Monkeyface Horseblinders Chaffetz, Hidin' Turtle McConnell or any of the other slew of GOP Congressnuts that have conducted town halls as of late only to run ass over elbow for the back door as they realize "the enemy" has stormed their safe spaces. Of course, it's always "Liberal Activists" who apparently are all trained at the Obama Shadow Government Special School for Disruption of Trumperica, and not just people concerned that the fuckey polices the Conswillatives are attempting to enact. Couldn't possibly be that.
Stay focused. Keep telling the individual stories. Don't just lump everything together, we need to find the people who are actually affected by these kooks and get them on tv, put a faces to the pain their going through. It's easy to "Hate them damn Mexicuns" but hard to think.."hey, they're gonna deport Juan..I like Juan..Juan works hard.." It's easy to shout "Keep them damn trannies out of the women's bathrooms" but a lot harder when you see the faces, and hear the stories, and realize..this is a person going through this.
Now of course, this isn't going to change any GOP politicians, they've done sold out to the Great Orange Anus and likely Ol' Scratch himself, but if we keep obstructing (hey, fuck em, they did it for 8 years), keep protesting, keep shouting, keep sharing posts about fatass Twitler golfing, keep showing how he's blowing money..keep at it..we're all gonna come out of this Ok. Just remember, IDGAF if the media swears its a lock and Trump can't run for re-election because he's on his deathbed being bottle fed by Vladmir Putin- get out there and VOTE this time.
