Kansas lawmakers propose tax plan that could save Kansas. Brownbackistan vetos it GRRR

http://www.kwch.com/content/news/Brownback-to-announce-decision-on-new-tax-bill-414413083.html

TOPEKA, Kan. Gov. Sam Brownback says he will veto the tax bill.

The governor's full statement is as follows:

Since the pioneers moved westward across the country and settled this fertile ground, our state has always held a promise for those who came here—that through dedication and hard work your standing in life can improve. One of my primary goals as Governor is to make it easier for Kansans to thrive and to accomplish their dreams. That is precisely why we cut income taxes on all Kansans several years ago, working to make Kansas the best state in America to raise a family and grow a business.
Last week, both chambers of the Kansas legislature voted to raise taxes on Kansans making over $15,000. Not only did they raise taxes on single Kansans earning more than $9.74 an hour, but they did so before even passing a budget. By doing this, legislators said that the hard-working people of Kansas must find savings in their own personal budgets

because of his mess our school district had to close several schools and programs.

I have had Crohn's disease for 10 years. Have been in the hospital several times almost died more than once.

6 years ago I was put at a program for "last chance" kiddos. It was perfect for me and the Crohn's. Low student to teacher ratio and planning time to work with chemo time and I was getting a lot better...doctor even mentioned remission.

Last year the program was gutted specifically due to Brownstain and his damned budget. Back into a large school with almost 200 students daily and it seemed most of those students acted a lot worse than my "bad kids" and most of the time there were no consequences. I had a kid cut his pubic hair in class and I was called down for sending that kid out.

Well, in Nov I got super sick and many thought I wouldn't last to Christmas. I got some time off and was able to have a couple of procedures and changed medicine and am slowly getting better. I am due to return to work after spring break and hopefully I can last the 9 weeks.

I blame brownback and his god damned tax plan for all of it

I will not be lectured to by a Governor who has raised taxes on middle class Kansans 3 times in the last 4 years. #ksleg

...so if the economy is faltering, its because people aren't motivated enough to work. Therefore, general misery should turn things around. I wish I were joking or exaggerating, but I'm not.
