I know they are vile in their hatred so that being said they have also been drinking the intended kool-aide to make then hateful. They are constantly bombarded with lies from the corporate controlled system.
So, now maybe they can see that the right really is looking out for the corporation and not them. The fact that Roberts went with the mandate is clear who he is and who he represents.
Lets go to freeperville and tell them it's time to stop believing that republicans are on their side.
We should start seeing that the majority of the Democrats are not on our side.
We are all in the same boat and both sides are taught to hate because it benefits the current system of corruption.
The insurance mandate will be blown up to be a new tax and the right will run with that but what it really does is feed the corporate insurance companies.
Corporations won today and all of us lost!
Can insurance companies still decide how much to charge and what treatments they will cover????
Big win for the powerful!!!!
Roberts voted the way he should have been expected to vote. He is a corporate hack!

(6,092 posts)today. Even listening to the talking heads today is sickening. Its all about the left and the right, Democrats and Republicans, who came out on top. The big game we all are forced to participate in.

(39,319 posts)And I'm thrilled Obama and the Democrats came out on top.
So did the American people.
The Republicans are traitors.

(31,866 posts)I see your point. But now is the time to call your House member and Senators and to tell them get damn jobs bill passed, sunset the Bush tax cuts for millionaires, and stop the disenfranchisement of Americans.
Wasting time on Freepers is just that - there's work to be done as we move into November and they don't want to see progress or an America that blows every other country away. This is the time to get back to being great.

(6,092 posts)and I'm very happy it went this way. I of course wish the insurance companies weren't going to be the biggest winners, but am ready to work for what we want. I still have hope that if we push hard and long we can change Obama's actions. It's a long hard fight against money and power and it will be bloody

(16,091 posts)What makes you think that the truth matters to them? And the kool-aid they've been drinking doesn't make them hateful, it just gives them a false sense of courage and causes them to show their true selves.
But like someone already said, you first!
I do not like them. They are mean. They hurt people. They smell funny. I do not like them. They make my head hurt. I won't do it, no, no, no.

(32,139 posts)Occupy had the right idea in stressing that we are the 99 percent. Robert Reich crystallized it in his cartoon of different factions attacking each other while rich men quietly pick ALL of our pockets.
Being the 99 percent does not mean compromising principles. We are shredding our principles right now by playing the corporate game. The key is to educate, educate, educate. We are so steeped in corporate propaganda that people don't THINK anymore.

(95,337 posts)Their kids can continue to receive healthcare on their plans until they are 27. If they are seniors they will enjoy cheaper prescriptions and if they have pre-existing conditions they will receive coverage.
It's like cursing your umbrella for being ugly even though it still protects you from the rain.
