Well let's talk mindless partisan politics then: there is a very, very good chance Obama will have lost the election because of this ruling.

However the way the game is played you will never be allowed to consider that fact: if Obama loses because of this, as we did in 2010 thanks to the intense unpopularity of mandatory insurance purchases by individuals (none of whom DUers seem to know personally) a scapegoat will be found by party leaders and quickly embraced by the rank and file.
