I cannot watch one second of D. Trump without going ballistic. But even reading the online reports of the press conference make me title my OP as such. I simply cannot watch it. It is too painful. We are in a REALLY HUG NATIONAL CRISIS NOW. We have a president with the biscuit who looks like he is on some other planet mentally. And we have a GOP still behind him and a bunch of Trumpets just as screwball as he is. Add to that a White House staff that has no adults in it and you have to wonder what the FUCK is going on.

It was all Trump, all the time for a year and a half. The message that got out is that he's a STAR. They all got suckered and they in turn suckered a large proportion of the American people.

I can't really blame the voters. After all, a sizable majority voted for Clinton.

I do wholeheartedly blame broadcasters who failed to do their jobs. I also blame an EC that failed to do its job of keeping populist demagogues with major screws loose away from the presidency. Comey's treason was the cyanide cherry on the strychnine cake.

We're always going to have people who insist on being bigots, xenophobes and religious nutters. Our constitutional protections against them usually work. However, 2 major structures were full of people who simply didn't do their jobs: media and the EC. Had they done their jobs, even Comey wouldn't have affected the outcome.

However, the voters did their jobs, they voted. Yes, almost half of them were wrong. However, that's what usually happens. Had the people who are supposed to protect us from madmen done their jobs, it would not have been a problem.
