(531 posts)since they lie all the time it must mean he did know. I don't know enough about it otherwise to know why he would know.

(856 posts)Flynn apologized to Trump and Pence for his lying before Pence went on TV saying he was all clean. That means Pence knew all about it and was lying too.

(856 posts)But I am unable to find a link to support it at the moment.
Flynn's public apology was recent but what I remember reading is that he apologized to them privately earlier than the Pence denial on 1/15. However, since I cannot provide a link, I'm not going to push it.

(89,276 posts)many people would not have wanted to be Trump's vp but he was willing to do it and seemed to really want it.
i think he was willing to put up with all of this in order to get ahead himself and become President .
he isn't some great moral type as he likes to present himself as. the same is true of many who are so openly religious and preachy.
what i think he that he may not be directly involved in all this shit but he was willing to look the other way and put up with the lies so he can be president.

In fact, I'm sure they all know in the White House inner circle with the exception of maybe Sean Spicer and Kellyanne.
And I believe that the top people in the GOP have at least suspected and just "went with it" because it meant they had power...

(53,074 posts)Pence isn't in Trump's inner circle. Reporting is that Pense found out by reading the Washington Post on Friday, and then set about trying to figure out what the hell was going on. It appears that is what led to Flynn's departure.
Remember that Trump was very reluctant to take Pence as his VP. Unlike Trump, he criticized Putin in the debate. Ideology, he is far apart from Trump on Russia. I don't think Pence is in on it.
Pence is a homophobic, ultra right-wing shitbag, but he's not a Russian asset.

(14,923 posts)was receiving the daily intelligence briefing on a daily basis, while the Dolt was only doing so about once a week. We have every reason to think that Pence was much more aware of what was going on than Dolt, and not less so. It also makes sense that since Pence had made public statements denying that Flynn had discussed sanctions with the Russians, the Intel people would have tipped him off directly that they knew otherwise. Unless, of course, they suspected he was deeply implicated himself and were holding off to see what else he might do.
