Sally Yates, YOU are an American HERO. YOU are vindicated. You WERE RIGHT!

(15,222 posts)I think she knew what her fate was going to be, and her principles were more important to her. I'm sure she wanted out anyway. Who wouldn't???
I am certain she will look back on this as the best decision of her life. She has my thanks as an American citizen for doing what is right.

(10,012 posts)We could use another smart, strong woman in Congress. She's from Georgia, and it would be great to knock off any one of their Republican representatives in 2018. Then the Senate in 2020!

(65,076 posts)And, she was going to get released anyway since she was an Obama appointee. So, she went out with class and an obvious knowledge of the law. She was obligated to ignore an unconstitutional order and she did. Good for her.

(3,212 posts)and was going to lose her position, anyway. Frankly, I'm not quite sure why she is considered so brave since she had nothing to lose. She's actually better known now than she was then, so her stand was very likely a good thing for her career!

(37,648 posts)Don't know if she has the right, but it wouldn't be worth it, would it? She was going to be replaced, anyway, as soon as 45's nominee was confirmed.
She no doubt knew she'd be unceremoniously removed, after refusing to obey 45. She's now a hero and martyr....and she did the right thing and is on the right side of the law and history. Not too shabby.
She has a bright future, I'd say!
