What does it mean that 90% of Republicans support Trump?
Mostly, it means that Republicans in the House and Senate will be very slow to criticize Trump on anything for fear of the wrath of their voters.
Also, they are a minority.
But Republicans cannot win without them.
Furthermore, the over-all popularity of Donald Trump will continue to shrink, if he continues the pattern of the first three weeks in office. There is no reason to believe he will change.
Bottom line: This is an opportunity for Democrats to take back the House. Republicans cannot escape the shadow they have put over this nation. They will have to answer to the voters. Democrats simply need to remind them of how far they have come since election day. They bought a turkey and it's a long time 'til Thanksgiving.
