Is she implying that the Sessions confirmation has basically destroyed any (or most) chances of the truth being revealed about a Russian-Trump plot to influence the election that she believes took place?

She has said that Sessions is the one responsible for bringing Carter Page into the Trump camp. She has implied he has other Russian connections, too. So she thinks he is involved and his position is to help protect them from prosecution. She wants the Dems to demand that he recuse himself from all such investigations.

5. It surprises me Louise is so invested in this - I'm pleasantly surprised though..

I only know her as an ultra conservative sort but even she sees the risk of far right extremism on liberal democracies and how it strengthens Putin.
