Part of learning involves an honest assessment of the outcome of our actions and a willingness to accept personal responsibility for that outcome. When things go badly we change our actions. He went bankrupt six times!!! That is not the sign of someone who learns. That is the sign of someone who perpetually blames others for his failures.

You are right, he won't learn. In order to learn he would need to admit that there are things he doesn't know. He is just too full of himself to do that.
