(34,845 posts)I will never forgive CNN for hiring Lewandowski.

Muslim ban = failed. Yemen raid = failed. Approval ratings = failed.
Mexican wall = failed. Economic utopia = failed. Grade point average = 0.
Don't want to get too enthused but am needing little slivers of sunlight. We know about their bottom line, that won't change much but lately they are leaning more left than msnbc with some of their choices.

(14,176 posts)Not that I'm complaining mind you, but IMO they can see the writing on the wall (no pun intended). They may have finally realized that they can't out-Fox Fox News. At least not to the same extent in this instance in time. They can see a large demographic growing, even a lot of folks that voted for him, or didn't vote, that are disturbed by his behaviour.
If the Repukes finally use him up for cover to pass all their anti-American bills and they've gotten everything they want, using him and his daily outrages as a media shield for their agenda..and they also read the writing on the wall they will impeach and replace him with Pence to carry on.
Pence will be presented as the 'sane' alternative, and comparatively speaking, he will be. Not that he doesn't have the same extreme views, but he's smart enough to hide it beneath a veneer of politeness and civilized behavour.
Then we'll see CNN jump back on board with all their false equivalencies of the past, both parties are the same etc., eager to get back their access.

(99,711 posts)Tapper auditioned to play the Colmes part in Hannity and Colmes, but he slapped Hannity around so bad Ailes chose someone else. No way was the conservative guy going to be the foil on FOX.

(37,748 posts)CNN declined her one particular appearance in favor of another guest rather than a blanket denial. It was the current administration that was boycotting CNN, which soon thereafter went back on their "promise..."

(28,342 posts)was on Tapper yesterday because he completely dismantled her and threw the pieces to the chickens and the hog in the back yard.
Furthermore, CNN issued two official statements, including one yesterday before the interview that it is the position of CNN that the network has serious questions about Kellyanne's credibility.
Trump wanted war with the media and the media giant CNN is giving it to them. Can you imagine for a moment an anchor on CNN with a tweet like this . . . ARF ARF . . calling a White House staff member an attack DOG at any other time? I applaud CNN for their fight. We NEED our media to FIGHT for this country. I think they finally understand without a democracy their own lives are in danger too, and the fact is, that's where we are now.

(61,697 posts)That Tapper was calling her a dog. I would consider being called an attack dog, in her job, a compliment.

(7,142 posts)by raising CNN's ratings. I watch them now because Trump called them fake news. I still watch Chris Hayes and Rachel but I sneak in CNN in between. I also like Don Lemon.
