so you can bet your bippy that if Intelligence happened at all it was damn brief, because otherwise it might interfere with teevee time, or the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief making his regular tweety-weenie WAR on the enemy du jour.

That said - be glad he didn't tweet anything said during that very short intelligence briefing.

Small favors and all that.

Because I've noticed he says things he shouldn't say in tweets (besides the usual) and the things he is saying are things you know he just learned about (how the government operates) and then hints at what he now knows in tweets.

Very dangerous habit of his, as our enemies aren't as stupid as Trump.

only ones to have noticed some of his indiscreet tweets.

And if a Democratic president had tweeted some of the shit Trump has said - even in speeches, as he does not limit his slips to twitter - Congress would have already started the impeachment process because military/NS leaders would have already demanded it.

Trump is headed for a slip-of-the-tongue while bragging about how great he is and what he knows, and he will get more people killed. The botched Yemen raid - American deaths; they knew we were coming.

But I don't know if this GOP Congress will care enough to stop him. If Trump becomes a liability to them personally, they will.

Trump can't make a speech without interrupting himself and his train of thought wildly meanders off course. Sometimes there is a course correction (he catches himself saying too much) but most often it is an abrupt halt for emphasis, signifying nothing really. And that inability to coherently connect two thoughts together has been his saving grace when he slips up and says too much, as a way of showing how great he is...he confuses people and they all too often don't hear the slip.

I get the feeling others in government hope people simply hear an idiot speaking, without really listening to everything he says.

But again, our enemies - not so dumb.

Intelligence briefings should last at least an hour - at a district office level in the military.

At any large scale operation executive level (no matter if government and business) meeting, any strategy and intelligence meetings last at least an hour if there's absolutely nothing is going on - and pretty much an entire morning/afternoon session if they're in the middle of a transition, or if there's several issues of importance going on. Everyone is supposed to have something on everything in their particular operations, even if it's just a status report indicating it's all going smoothly and there's no problems that are going to jump up and bite them in the butt.

Unless of course, they're just "covering their asses" and waiting for something big to happen.

On edit - or if the meetings are just show for the figurehead auto-signer, and they've already had their strategy and intelligence briefing for the real sponsored Triumvirate currently in charge (Cough, cough...Bannon/Pence/Preibus)
