My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!

I seem to have a fuzzy recollection of the first Bush saying he did not like broccoli and a broccoli farm taking a truck load to the White House.

(does this sound familiar to anyone else? something along those lines?)

The whole thing is the President is the president of all the United States and they have to appear as such in public. To criticize a business, especially one that has roots in America is not okay. Unless perhaps they were wantonly poisoning people or something.

I'll be very surprised if there isn't some kind of legislation to funnel public funds directly into the family bank account. I mean overtly, in addition to what's already going on.

Honestly, this whole situation is more or less the ascendency of organized crime...the last, desperate power/wealth grab by the mobsters, oil billionaires, and associated robber barons. I don't believe it will stand, in the long run--none of it is sustainable, and I think the oligarchs know that, which is why they've largely dropped their pretense of "democracy" and just gone as full-on fascist and authoritarian as possible. They're trying to consolidate as much wealth and power as possible because they know there's a sea change coming...maybe sooner than later, thanks to their nihilistic greed.

Will most of us live to see it all go down? Probably not. I'd think this will all play out over the next 300 to 500 years, and it's almost a coin-flip as to whether we're headed for a technology-driven socialist utopia, or a descent into endless strife and destruction. Humanity will either adapt, or perish.

jeez, sorry, that's an over-the-top comment as far as these crass capitalist shills promoting their own self-interest...but I think it's related.

Read The long Emergency, by James Howard Kunstler. He describes what likely will happen when we run out of oil and also hit the dreaded 2.5 degrees C temperature rise. Civilization as we know it will not survive, nor will the United States. It could be a hundred years or it could be less.

They are non existant in the tRump family. Ivanka steals designs from others, since she does not seem to have any original ideas herself. The thought of HER giving advice to working mothers is a joke. What the HELL would she know about normal women, working and raising families? Nannies, servants, housekeepers all take care of the daily chores. Her daddy told her she is "hot" and she believes it!
