16. I think this letter is already part of the congressional record from that time?

Since the letter was sent to the Senate committee at that the time of Sessions earlier hearing, I would think it was entered into the official record.

Maybe the Senators can just use a procedural move to have the original record read by the Senate staff or secretary (can't remember what the title is this late).

that it was never kept or recorded in any way. I may have misunderstood what she said, though.

Strom Thurmond "lost" the original letter, so that it was never read into the Congressional record. It was a bit of luck that the letter was found all these years later.

IF that is the case, then Takei's suggestion is a great idea.

The one thing is that every day Session's confirmation is held up, it's one less day Trump has him.
