(24,324 posts)It is the old Washington defense when ahead in the 4th quarter.
Play soft, let the other team catch the ball and run...

(14,275 posts)I am not a Brady fan. I am a Patriot hater. But I also recognize freakishly acrobatic catches, outstanding teamwork, and grit. The Patriots earned this win against a very good Atlanta team. I assure you there was no cheating. They earned this one and their place in NFL history.

(6,976 posts)And that's why I don't like the Patriots.
PLUS, the media really doesn't criticize them even when they're caught with their pants down as in deflating footballs, taking pictures illegally of teams defenses/offenses the week of the Super Bowl IIRC.

(100,097 posts)Like they pick up literally everyone who was cut from a team for some offense. Aaron Hernandez and Michael Floyd among others.

(32,727 posts)The Falcons were up 28-3. WTF happened?! When the pats suddenly scored 2 touch downs, the Falcons should have immediately had a timeout and changed strategy.

(5,693 posts)And I find it really amusing when people who have no clue about football whatsoever jump on the hater bandwagon year after year. Oh well. We'll see you next year. As usual.

(2,117 posts)1) there were about three or four straight third downs the Patriots failed to convert where the refs bailed them out with a ticky tack defensive holding call
2) the pass interference call that put the Patriots in the 2 yard line in overtime. The defender had his arms around the receiver not touching him. He didn't make contact with the receiver until he touched the ball.
3) Brady winning MVP, even though James White scored three of the four touchdowns and set a Super Bowl receptions record.

(94,679 posts)...personally, I can think of nothing duller than an American football game. But if you like football, watching or not based pm the political leaning of one player seems very shallow.
