I heard last night that it was 51 no to 49 yes.

Is that video from the committee or was that from the whole Senate voting to confirm?

Betsy DeVos clears another hurdle in early morning Senate vote

(CNN) — The Senate voted early Friday to advance President Donald Trump's education secretary nominee Betsy DeVos to a final confirmation vote, which is expected Monday.

The vote was 52 to 48 along party lines.

...

Despite losing support from Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, she is expected to be confirmed Monday with the help of Vice President Mike Pence, who will be in the chamber to break an expected 50-50 tie.

Standards just go down the toilet with these repug clowns.

They raged for two hears about emails and Benghazi being so horrible but soon as they get in there's not a peep about either but they force through a plagiarizer to head the department where plagiarism is the biggest no-no.

"Does that mean DeVos is the new Ed. Secretary?"

Yes - unless the Senate first confirms Sessions for AG. The second they do that, Sessions is gone and the R's lose one Senate vote. Without Sessions DeVos is dead.

Now, do the Senate D's know that...?

How many times during the campaign did someone post "So-and-so just DESTROYED Donald Trump with one tweet!"?

He got "destroyed" at least once a week, and it didn't matter one bit. When will people get it through their heads...VOTES matter far, far more than marches, protests and social media smackdowns.

just like they will put all of them in. To ever think otherwise was fallacy. They Republicans play act at civility and reasonable discourse then make the choice to maintain, or enhance their personal power.
