Putting Mnuchin and Price Through ILLEGALLY Done. Needed One Day Advance Notice

Here it is from TMP comment Illegally done

Per Rule V, suspension of the rules would have required a 1 day, advanced notice in writing. I don't recall seeing anything about this being done. Was the suspension of the Rules, then, not done legally?

The Rs have been doing illegal stuff for decades at least. When are we going to learn and play the game the same way? Obama should have done that recess appointment of Garland -- so what if the Rs erupted? They don't give the Ds that same consideration -- they know they can get away with it -- voters have a short memory or actually see unprincipled behavior as assertive and admiral. Meanwhile, we worry endlessly about appearing "reasonable".

What difference does being reasonable make when you continue to lose seats at the table and power.

Democrats need to scream to high heaven about this! It's what Repukes would've done had this happened under President Obama's watch and we expect nothing less from Democrats now!

If you watch enough CSPAN, you always hear whoever is presiding over the Senate asking for, then using unanimous consent to proceed to business. All it takes is one senator to refuse to grant it and then there has to be a quorum call. CSPAN viewers know this is an intermidible process. Imagine what would happen if senators started refusing to allow unanimous consent.

I do think that individual committees can set their own rules, though.
