Either he or the republic, in any meaningful sense, will be gone quite soon. I have a hard time seeing one year, let alone four 2/
What this means is that anyone considering working for or with this White House -- Senators, officials, businessmen -- shouldn't 3/
Either you're going to go down with a disgraced president, or you're going to be complicit in the death of democracy. Just say no 4/
Those four linked tweets followed a tweet about the White House statement on the firing of Sally Yates:

(81,466 posts)"jayschool"? Journalism school perhaps? If so, where'd you study? Retired b'cast journalist here. Back when I was starting, there were almost literally none of 'em. Just a bare handful - University of Missouri, for example. College radio got me started but after I got hired, I learned on the job.

I earned a bachelor's in journalism from the University of Nebraska and worked as a reporter in South Florida in the 1980s. I've been a journalism educator since 1990 in Colorado and at the University of Kansas. I currently am the director of an investigative and explanatory journalism project at the University of Colorado Boulder.

(28,876 posts)As of now, Trump-Bannon-Putin is amputating the legislative branch
and decimating the judicial.
Trump wants to rule by fiat without questions or challenges.
As of now, we are a country run as a totalitarian dictatorship.
We can stay this way, or we can literally remove the Trumpeteers
and return as a Republic run by the people.
I don't know where to place my bet right now. I'm so sad.

(21,754 posts)I haven't seen the "TERRORIST" threat that justified the action of detaining people at the airports but I do see a threat in Trumps behavior along with his cabinet choices among other factors.
In other words, what was that EO even triggered by and then presented as if there was some kind of an emergency? Things like that are normally triggered by a specific event. There have been no such events lately.

(7,309 posts)... we don't see a threat from the terrorists, we see a threat from Trump and his government.
