Didn't we have one when the Senate refused to hold hearings on Garland for the Supreme Court?
Besides Nixon, has this happened before?

(26,366 posts)The constitution doesn't require the Senate to hold hearings.
As to history, President Andrew Jackson once ignored a Supreme Court decision:
"The decision of the supreme court has fell still born, and they find that it cannot coerce Georgia to yield to its mandate."

It is poorly executed, but still a threat that must be stopped. I think the chief architect was Bannon. ClumsyTrumper may only be a front, though he'd hate to be seen that way.
We are in grave danger, but we can yet address it. One important note is that the intelligence community is not behind them. I suspect they will also alienate the top brass, in other words there is no real firepower behind the takover. Popular resistance is extremely important.
