At last count, there were 292 Repubs in the House and Senate.
260 of them have been cold dead silent.
Those that are silent can only be assumed to be in agreement with Trump.

They are also terrified to voice any disagreement at all, their whole lives are focused on lockstep loyalty to party and spitefulness against anyone outside it.

(58,666 posts)I'm sure, after all the years of apathy, actually seeing folks get out and demonstrate about liberal issues has given them pause, at least.
Hopefully, they are starting to worry how safe their "cockamamie jobs" are. Lots of red counties not so ideological that they want to lose their healthcare for "freedom." At least, I hope.
