The Dems are not blameless for their situation, but most of the general public doesn't realize the amount that Koch Bros. et al have focused on state governments, purged voters, and then gerrymandered the districts when they got majorities.

Trump is going to need to generate a Democratic wave election in 2020 for us to have a shot at turning this around after the 2020 census redistricting.

The Republican House won't stand up to Trump, but McCain is 80 and just got reelected to a new term. Should be an orchestrated effort to get Dems in AZ (a state that's becoming more blue) to call his office daily. Same thing with Collins in Maine.
