The Republicans have sold out to the Russians and 1%ers. Nothing they do is for the good of the country. Unfortunately they control 2/3rd of government will be working hard to flip that other 1/3.

I personally think these are the darkest days for our republic since the 1860s.

There are a ton of "stakeholders" in the National Security industry. Career government officers, military institutions, State Department, the press, and a ton of elected representatives who have strong opinions.

Within each group there are cliques and intersecting circles of interest. There is also a lot of disagreement and cross tension.

The Bannon move to the NSC has just united everyone who is interested in this against the alt-right. Because they are now on the same page as the press everything is going to come pouring out.

The reaction on the NSC will not have crowds in the streets but there will be an outpouring of leaks, charges and prosecutions. It is hard to believe that these amateurs have screwed things up so badly in less than 10 days.

David Brooks yelling that Trump is a coward is an indicator of what the establishment is going to do.

...and the DHS has replied that the will continue to enforce Trump's executive orders, the courts be damned.

Unless the Republican Congress impeaches and convicts Trump, we are now a nation of men, not of laws. And it happened a lot quicker than I thought it would.
