Unlike DT, Hillary called for a 550% increase in Syrian refugees,

from 10,000 to 65,000 -- and DT and his band of haters attacked her for that.

(The Catholic Bishops had urged the US to take 100,000 Syrian refugees, to put her figure into context.)

One more example of the huge gulf between the policies of Democrats and Republicans.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/jun/13/donald-trump/donald-trump-says-hillary-clinton-wants-let-500-pe/

During a Sept. 20 appearance on CBS' Face the Nation, Clinton was asked if President Barack Obama's plan to increase the number allowed into the United States to 10,000 was enough. (The United States had accepted about 2,000 in 2015.)

"Look, we’re facing the worst refugee crisis since the end of World War II, and I think the United States has to do more, and I would like to see us move from what is a good start with 10,000 to 65,000 and begin immediately to put into place the mechanisms for vetting the people that we would take in," Clinton said.

Clinton said she would be "looking to really emphasize some of those who are most vulnerable, a lot of the persecuted religious minorities, including Christians, and some who have been brutalized, like the Yazidi women."

A jump to 65,000 would be a 550 percent increase.

1. WELCOMING NEW AMERICANS TO REBUILD THE AMERICAN DREAM Governor O'Malley

IMMIGRATION REFORM
We are a nation of immigrants – whether our ancestors came from Ireland or from Mexico, or whether they immigrated here generations ago, or whether our parents brought us to the United States. But today, this fundamental characteristic of our country – the diversity that makes us great and enriches each new generation – is being eroded. Our outdated immigration laws no longer meet our economic needs, our national security imperatives, or our values as a people. They fail to reaffirm our founding ideal, e pluribus unum – that out of many, we are one.

As a nation, we must honor our proud legacy as a nation of immigrants and maintain one of America’s key strategic advantages: that people all over the world still dream of becoming Americans. To continue to attract the next generation of strivers, dreamers, and risk-takers, and to be true to the values we hold dear, it is imperative that we pursue a dynamic, modern approach to immigration policy. This will require a new push for comprehensive immigration reform – and new leadership that is willing to work tirelessly until it is finally accomplished, once and for all. >>>

O'Malley sticks to his call for 65,000 Syrian refugees.

That she doesn't get credit for. Her positions on gun control and criminal justice are also areas the dog whistling racists shit on her for, and were very brave.

Most liberal platform in history. It's going to be interesting looking at the 2020 platform and how moderate if not conservative it looks in comparison.

6. The gun control position was problematic for sure

And it possibly cost her this critical election. There are a lot of rural dems who like their guns. The NRA scared everyone into thinking Hillary wanted an AWB with Australian style gun control and this was probably a major contributing factor to her defeat. Right up to the election Gallop polls showed very little support for an Assault Weapons Ban, and Hillary insisted on keeping gun control as a major part of her platform. She went so far as to bash on Bernie for not being anti-gun enough for her liking. Most of the young people I know tend to like 'assault weapons' due to games like COD/Movies/Zombie stuff etc. If you go to a gun show lately it's mostly 'black rifles' now. Like it or not, weapons like the AR15 have become some of the most popular guns in America.

election.. we all know what did that.

It was comey, the Russian hacking voter Suppression, Voter Purging.. the m$m obsessing negatively on her and Normalizing fucking trump. And jill stein telling her voters not vote for Hillary even in Swing States.

snip//

"US Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has said that her supporters should "absolutely not" vote for Hillary Clinton to stop a Donald Trump presidency, even in a swing state.

In an interview with Mehdi Hasan, host of Al Jazeera's Upfront, Stein said that Clinton "is not different enough" from the New York real estate businessman, to enable her or the Democratic Party "to save your job, save your life, or save the planet."
