While Trump is a racist mysogynist pig, and while he shocked liberals with his promises on the campaign trail, the truth is that none of what he says hasn't been said before. Indeed taken piece meal most of his promises have at one point or another been republican talking pointa, ideals, or dreams for a long time. Just not all at once, and not actually implemented.
But the beauty of Trump is that he's such a fucking egotist, so unbelievably opaque to the reality of how the world works, of its complexities. That now that he's in power he actually is going to try to implement all these nut job ideas. It doesn't matter that even a 10 year old could tell you for example that building the border wall and making Mexico pay for it is rediculous. Because Trump lives in the la la land of his own mind.
But perhaps in actually trying to implement these long help republican dreams they are going to get their just deserts. Perhaps when they fucking run the country into the ground and they will realise, ops oh yeah maybe those ideas really were just bullshit after all. Not that I have a lot of hope.
