I said Jedi or whatever. I have not seen any Star Wars movie since the first so I do not care about any title for a new "religion".

Its about the power of religious groups / cults and their enormous tax breaks that enable them to weild politicl power out of proportion to their intelligence.

The Jedi "religion" is recognized in the UK I believe. lol

Keep in mind that various congregations run homeless shelters, soup kitchens etc. Taking away their tax exempt status would negatively affect their social programs like the ones I mentioned.

A better approach would be to enforce the laws that require non-profits to steer clear of political statements.

Would be to distribute wealth more fairly than at present. No need for "charity" then.

A homeless shelter or a soup kitchen can apply for non profit protections just like any other charity.

They should pay their fair share like everyone else and the fact that they meet once a week to share in a communal delusion shouldn't be a reason that the rest of us pick up their slack.
