they love the wall
they love him working with vladimir putin / 'maybe the russians can do things we can't because we have too many freedoms' (?)
they love all the wall street execs in his cabinet / THEY will know how to drain the swamp

(5,150 posts)They are on call-ins and forums to prop up support and demoralize the opposition.
Take the idiocy with a grain of salt. He will always have a core of support but it will
shrink over time as the sane Republicans and independents fall away.

(28,270 posts)How did it end up for them though?
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak for me.

(9,129 posts)At the risk of sounding like a party-pooper, the US is still coasting along on the strengths of President Obama's economy and President Obama's policies. The effects of Donald's and the Unhinged Unchained's policies aren't that strong--YET. It'll be Donnie's economy starting six to nine months from now.
Yes, Donnie's fans adore him--now. As we've seen for 30 years, it's easy to love right-wing dogma and curse the social welfare net when it's been taking care of you. Donnie's fans have no idea of what it was like to live in the bad old days before the New Deal. But I expect that they'll wise up, or at least some of them will, when Medicare's gone, when the ACA has been gutted, and Social Security has been abolished. Then, with the exception of a better- prepared survivalist or three, they'll realize that they're sheep ready for fleecing and slaughter.
